A family tradition of thoughtful care.
Born and raised in Waterloo, Dr. Miraal Ashraf grew up around the dental practice her father built, seeing firsthand the relationships that develop through caring for families over generations. Today, being a part of Ashraf Dentistry, she carries that personal connection into her own approach to care.
Dr. Miraal brings warmth, a keen eye for detail, and a focus on helping every member of the family feel at ease. She values open communication and takes time to listen, explain treatment options, and help patients feel comfortable, informed, and involved in their care.
She studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Waterloo before completing her dental degree at University College Cork in Ireland. Returning home brought her back to the community where she grew up, continuing a family tradition of dentistry that began in 1992.

ORTHODONTICS
Alignment & Function
Dr. Miraal Ashraf completed the Canadian Straight Wire and Functional Orthodontics program, deepening her knowledge of tooth alignment, bite development, and orthodontic treatment planning. She is also an Invisalign provider, offering clear aligner treatment with a thoughtful focus on both smile aesthetics and everyday function.
IMPLANTS
Implant Dentistry
Dr. Miraal has completed more than 200 hours of continuing education in implant dentistry, including the Implant Continuum fellowship program and Masters Series with Dr. Arun Garg in Miami. Her training encompasses both implant placement and restoration.
SURGERY
Bone & Soft Tissue
Her hands-on surgical education includes bone grafting, sinus augmentation, soft-tissue management, and surgical treatment planning. This includes the Dental Implant Continuum Level II Masters Series in Advanced Bone Grafting with Dr. Arun Garg in Miami.

Dr. Miraal Ashraf’s continuing education has included hands-on training and learning opportunities in North and South America, including programs in the United States, Brazil, Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
Exposure to different surgical philosophies can broaden the way complex cases are evaluated. Rather than relying on a single method, her approach is to understand multiple options and consider how each may apply to the individual patient.
